Head Over Fields

Head Over Fields in Charlotte, Vermont received a VFF New Producer Loan for improvements to their new property on Rte 7 where they have a farm store. Head Over Fields is a certified organic vegetable farm growing more than 100 varieties of vegetables, flowers and herbs. They offer a CSA, retail farm stand and sell to wholesale accounts. They'll also be a full time vendor this year at the Shelburne Farmers Market.

As of 2025, they cultivate 5 acres of vegetables and make their produce available to consumers 12 months out of the year with the help of high tunnels. Based in Charlotte, their farm stand is the "beating heart" of the farm and offers their own veggies and assorted third-party Vermont products including fruit, meat, cheese, ice cream, beverages, maple syrup, snacks and more. Head Over Fields is a returning VFF borrower who will use a Business Builder loan to support the addition of two new high tunnels on the farm.
